Barbara The Fashion Blogger | ....and a Diane Von Furstenberg Wrap Dress?

13.1.15

Happy New Year once again everyone.
The results of the poll came in and (i'm sure you all aren't surprised) but the blog won. So here is my very first 'Barbara, The Fashion Blogger' post for 2015. Now, I'm going to have beauty, hair, fashion, ramblings and every other thing all in my one place. Looking forward to it.

Does anyone remember the DVF wrap dress? +Chriselle Lim is totally and completely in love with the wrap dress and +Diane Von Furstenberg made it popular with her one cut fits all shapes design. But come to think of it, I'm one for running around the house scattering everywhere when I have to go out for anything. I mean anything at all - drinks, a date, dinner, movies, brunch, anything and I wondered to myself "isn't it possible to have just one outfit in different colours that would work well for different occassions?" aside my denims and tees of course.

While trying on clothes at The Nail Studio for the shoot, Irene randomly whipped this out and said "Barbara try this one". How was I to know that I found a dupe for the DVF dress which I can't afford right now but is on my radar. Knowing how I am about my weight, I was skeptical about the rather clingy fabric seeing as how I'm yet to resume my exercise regimen but voila, this is me in it and I look great.

This of course is beside the point that the colours of the dress are some of my favourite and I got a chance to add one absolutely gorgeous Chezjumelle brooch in the styling of the outfit. The exquisitely detailed clutch and cocktail ring just proved to create the perfect pairing. Might I add that I felt like super sexy in this dress? Talk about playful and sexy in one dress.
