Event | Beauty Africa & My K-Pro Airbrush System from Khuraira Cosmetics

31.10.14

The Beauty Africa Exhibition& Conference has come to an end. I got to once again meet some members of the Nigerian beauty industry I respect - Tara Durotoye, Lola Maja, dear friend whom I consider a strong woman and an inspiration Oke Maduewesi, a strong believer in me Khuraira Musa and of course, Eryca Freemantle.

I took a couple of pictures at the event and I'm sure you all have seen all the images on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and on various blogs. So, I'm going to skip images of the event and go straight to what I won *tongue out*. Oh, alright, here are some pictures
Khuraira Cosmetics is now stocked in Make Me Beauty Place. I can't wait to show you all the lovely pictures of the store and the Khuraira display stand there.
crowdy as usual, lol
Got the Nail Candy Art Pen from this lovely store. Check out the post
they had these too which were actually lip colours and eye liners. Didn't get a chance to try them out though, wish I had.
Of course the Zaron stand was crowded. They have so many cool, new products I can't wait to get my hands on. Zaron, be expecting an August visitor very soon *wink*
On to my story, I'll start from the beginning. Khuraira wanted to give out some airbrush machines at the event and only those who pre-registered on the site were eligible. I did of course, especially being an official blogger and all (lead by example they say). So they were up on stage, Yemisi of N'sure & Darlington had already indicated interest in them and I just had a smile on my face cos I'm literally a member of the Khuraira family. Friends and Family are exempted from stuff like that right?

Well, there I was in the front row, watching the demo and taking pictures of Khuraira speaking, the K-Pro kit and the demo on the models. Little did I know that I would be taking one home with me. You needed to see how wide my eyes were when I heard my name. I was embarassingly excited so my shyness came out, lol.
Here are pictures of my kit *dancing*
the kit comes with 4 airbrush foundations which can be custom mixed to fit pretty much any woman of colour, a dark circle primer, a dual camouflage and an age defying concealer.

One of the major things I learnt from Khuraira's presentation is that, as much as it is cool to use airbrush from start to finish, it saves your airbrush products when you first apply a base of concealer/corrector on the Client before using the airbrush.

I don't know how to use it yet but a couple of us have planned an Airbrush learning date. I'll definitely let you know when I learn how to work this robot. In the meantime, it has a much loved and comfy place in my wardrobe.

Thanks so much Khuraira.
