1923 Face of the Day: So much blue

20.9.11

It’s a Sunday and im on my way to church. I have on this new ‘afro wannabe’ hairstyle and for some reason I want to wear a dress to church. This dress is flowery with splashes of blue and black on it. And of course, I always apply my makeup to church so I sit and think of what to use on my face today.

Here is what I came up with

Face
MaryKay foundation in 600
Black Opal fade and conceal in Toast (under eye)
Orekelewa powder (im sorry I cant remember the numbers but I used 2 different shades)
Orekelewa blush in 25 (on my cheek bones, temples, forehead and chin)
Gingerbread MUD cheek colour (forehead, chin, above cheek bones, bridge of nose)

Eyes
Clear mascara for my brows
Gingerbread MUD cheek colour (all over my eyes from upper lashline to brow bone)
Black Opal Mosaic eyeshadow quad in Rain Forest (teal blue colour on my eyelids, blackish gray in the outer lid corner)
Black Radiance Eyeshadow quartet in 8808 (bronze colour to blend out the teal blue)
MaryKay liquid liner in black
Glitter gal mascara in black
Jordana twist up eye pencil (I cant remember the exact name but it’s a vibrant blue colour) in my waterline and lower lashline

Lips
A no-name brown lip liner pencil (edges of the lips)
MUD sheer lipstick in Rose Clay (in the middle of my lips blended with the lip liner at the edges)
Revlon Midnight Swirl gloss in Shock-olate (all over the lips)
I really think it is shocking to note that I use the same lip products almost all the time but they come out differently in the pictures.
