4 Books I Loved In 2023 and the 1 Book I Hated Buying

One of the great reasons I love having my own space on the internet is because I can express my opinion without fear or favour. Really be my authentic and true self. That's why one of the trendiest books of 2022 & 2023 is the one book I absolutely hated buying and reading. I rarely read book reviews but this one time, I wish I had before buying this book.

Anyway, let's go into some of my favourite books of 2023 and why even though I hated The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, I bought it and read it.

The 4 books I absolutely loved though were (in no particular order)
  1. The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's Wives - Lola Shoneyin (4.5/5 rating)
  2. My Sister The Serial Killer - Oyinka Braithwaite (5/5 rating)
  3. What A Time To Be Alone - Chidera Eggerue (4/5 rating)
  4. Dele Weds Destiny - Tomi Obaro (3.5/5 rating)

Of the 4 Books I loved reading in 2023, My absolute favourite is My Sister the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite.

It is short. It is sassy. It is a page-turner. And you never really know what to expect. It is clinically gory (only if you have an active imagination though)
