Review | Clinique Pop, Chubby Stick, Serum & Hand Cream

15.10.15 Lagos, Nigeria

Clinique is in Nigeria. Need I say more?
I'm not going to join hoards of people to say "I've been using it since and couldn't wait for it to come to Nigeria". Instead, I'll say that I've heard so much about it - even from my Mum - and I'm excited to have it in Nigeria now. Even better, it'll be sold at The Nail Studio *grin*.

There was a little press launch for the brand a couple of days ago, organised by The Bobby Taylor Company with Natasha Bennett (National Communications Manager for Clinique) in attendance. Lagos traffic no gree me reach on time so I barely made it when everyone was taking pictures and generally chatting around the buffet.
As usual, we got goodie bags and this was what was in mine.
Here are tiny dollops of the hand cream and serum. The hand cream has a comfortingly warm and moisturising feel to it. Tried the serum - which I'd been looking forward to *grin* - and it didn't disappoint. It says to use underneath your regular mosituriser but it feels so good I'm loath to apply anything else after it. I don't know how but it has a mattifying, satiny effect on my skin after usage. I can attest to the fact that it truly is oil-free like it says.
Just in time for my #PinkLips for #BreastCancerAwareness Challenge, I got these 2 lippies in the goodie bag.
I love that they are moisturising lipsticks. In this time and age of matte everywhere it's good to see brands sticking to their guns while still being innovative - the Clinique Pop is a Lip colour + balm - thus, it can be used at anytime and moisturises the lips too. Haven't worn it long enough to comment on the staying power though but I'm sure it won't disappoint.
This is my favourite product in the goodie bag - the chubby stick. Fortunately for me, it's a nude shade so I'll be looking forward to rocking this a lot. Unfortunately, it ain't pink...lol.

The skinny stick is super duper pigmented and it doesn;t say but i'd use it for eyes, lips and brows.

There is going to be an official launch for Clinique and +Estee Lauder at The Nail Studio in November so make sure you look out for that as well.
In the meantime, the stands are up already. Head over to 9, Aboyade Cole street, Victoria Island for a taste of Clinique.
