FOTD | Black Smokey Eyes and a MAC Lipgloss

17.11.14

There are several times I wake up in the morning and really don't want to wear my face, lol. I mean makeup.
On those days, my brain works a mile per second wondering what to do, especially if it's a Sunday when I've promised myself and GOD that I'd always have my Sunday best on.

On this particular Sunday, there was the Savvy & Chic Garden Party and I knew that

  • I wouldn't have time to change between Church and the event especially not knowing the venue.
  • I needed to look good. Heck, it's an outing darlin, a bloggers outing. I hadn't been to one in a while so I needed to look good.
What look would I go for? I wasn't sure but at the last minute figured a smokey eye wouldn't be a bad idea. I hadn't worn one in a long time and missed it. I whipped out 3 brushes for this look - a crease brush, a flat eyeshadow brush and a liner brush; and was done with the entire look in less time than I'd normally use on a Sunday morning.
Face:
Illusions Cosmetics foundation in Hazelnut
Fashion Fair Powder Foundation in Brun Tendre
Zaron Compact powder in ZZ65
Rimmel Bronzer
Black Radiance bronzer
Maybelline All-in-one powder
BM|Pro 600 eyeshadow as blush

Eyes:
Zaron brow powder
Revlon ColorStay Quad
Sleek iDivine Original palette - Black
Asta Gel liner in Onyx
Maybelline Colossal Volume mascara

Lips
MAC True Jewel lipgloss

Brushes:
Real Techniques
Hegai & Esther brushes
Gifty's Daughter professional brushes
I finished the look with a great smile, vintage earrings and a lovely Nouva couture flowery gown.
